Length of pull from the right barrel trigger to the end of the original buttplate is correct and original 14 inches. Bores, chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. 704, modified and the left tube mikes at. Barrels are original full length 30 inches. We detect no dings or pings anywhere in the barrel surfaces. Barrel rib serrations have occasional flattening and scouring, and there are occasional light small spots visible on the blue barrel surfaces. Only the forend’s fault line is readily visible. There are three hairline short cracks with no separations one from the forend screw to the iron and one each side of the buttstock’s pistol grip area next to the upper tang. Surface wear is minimal, only moderate whitening to the color casehardening on the lower portion of the receiver and moderate scouring here and there to the original glossy finish on the buttstock and forend. This one comes to us from one of our Tennessee/New Mexico Law Enforcement Scouts, and it is the nicest one we’ve had in our memory, certainly for the past 30 years. Description: According to its 108,000 range serial number, this genuine LeFever Nitro Special side-by-side was manufactured in 1922, only the Second Year of Production for this classic shotgun.
